About your data
Last updated:
Manage your personal data, cloud backups, and account in Lingua Playlist for iOS and Android. You can request deletion by email without installing the app or signing in to this website.
Delete your account and associated data
In the app
- Open Lingua Playlist and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open your profile or account screen, then choose Delete Account.
- Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app. If asked, type delete and confirm.
If you cannot access your account or your app version does not show this option, use the email route below.
By email — no app required
- Email avdev2024@gmail.com with the subject Lingua Playlist — Delete my account.
- Include the email address or sign-in method associated with your account and whether you use iOS, Android, or both.
- State that you want your account and associated cloud data, including cloud backups and backup history, deleted.
We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request. Do not send your password or verification codes. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, include the account’s private relay address if you know it.
Account deletion is permanent. Export anything you want to keep first. A request for a shared account covers its associated data on both platforms, not just the device you use to request deletion.
Delete data or backups while keeping your account
You can request deletion of selected learning content or cloud backups without requesting account deletion.
- Email avdev2024@gmail.com with the subject Lingua Playlist — Delete my data or backups.
- Identify your account and platform, and specify what to remove: for example, particular learning content, all saved cloud learning data, or all cloud backups including older versions.
- State that you want to keep your account. We may ask you to clarify the scope and verify ownership before deleting the requested data.
You can also delete individual sentences, playlists, and recordings using the available controls in the app. If you want older cloud backup copies removed as well, say so in your email.
Your data and cloud backups
- Account information: Your account identifier, email address, and profile information supplied through your sign-in method.
- Learning content: Your sentences, translations, playlists, recordings, and pronunciation results, depending on the features you use.
- Learning activity: Saved review progress, study history, streaks, preferences, and usage records.
- Cloud copies: Content synced or backed up through Supabase when you use cloud features. Cloud backups can contain saved learning content and study progress. Contents and backup behavior differ between iOS and Android.
Cloud backups are separate from content stored only on your device, exported backup files, and backups managed by your device or another service. Android cloud backups can retain earlier versions of your library; replacing a backup does not necessarily erase its older versions.
If you keep using cloud backup or sync after a backup-only deletion, content still on your device may be uploaded again. Remove unwanted local content and avoid creating or restoring backups of it if you do not want it saved again.
What a deletion request covers
Account deletion: The request covers your sign-in account, profile, associated saved cloud learning content and progress, uploaded recordings, and app-managed cloud backups and their history.
Data-only deletion: The request covers the content or backups you identify. Your account and other data remain unless you ask for their deletion too.
Copies outside the service: An email request cannot remotely erase content stored only on your devices, files you exported, copies you shared, or backups controlled by Apple, Google, or another service. Delete those copies using the relevant device or service controls. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account or its cloud data.
Purchases and subscriptions: Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it through the relevant store. Apple and Google retain their own transaction records under their policies.
Deletion timing and retained information
Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, or fraud prevention. Information held by external providers may also be subject to their retention arrangements. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
